ABOUT THE ROLE:

We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the end-to-end delivery of engineering and manufacturing projects focused on line hardware fittings for the power transmission sector. You'll work hands-on with internal manufacturing teams, global suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical standards.

Manufacturing & Expediting

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all outputs meet relevant standards (e.g. AS1154, AS/NZS ISO)
  • Address non-conformances and rework issues promptly

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of schedules, manufacturing progress, change requests, and risk logs.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to management and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Strong experience in project management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in line hardware or power transmission components.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, galvanizing, and mechanical assembly.
  • Proven ability to expedite production orders and navigate factory floor constraints.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with shop floor staff, suppliers, engineers, and clients.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, MS Project, and Excel for scheduling and tracking.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry and safety standards (e.g., AS1154 series, ISO 9001).
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Project Management; PMP or equivalent preferred.
