Saxby's Drury Distribution is seeking a warehouse storeperson to be a part of our dynamic team.  Join us in a warehouse that stocks the vast range of products including Saxby's Soft Drinks, other soft drinks, coffee, snack foods, confectionery, packaging, and cleaning products.  Our ideal candidate has experience working in similar high volume, high turnover warehouses and is familiar with picking orders, stock control, replenishing stock, rotating stock, stocktaking, keeping a clean and friendly workplace, as well as other warehouse-related duties.

The warehouse storeperson position is a casual position (1 to 3days per week) and will be based in the Taree area and report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:

  • Current forklift ticket and proficiency – Essential.
  • Current driver's license – Essential.
  • Certificate in Transport & Distribution or other relevant certifications – Desirable.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the functions of a fast-paced, high volume warehouse – Desirable.
  • At least 5 years in the FMCG industry – Desirable.
  • General computer knowledge including Microsoft Office - Essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure picking is accurate, with minimal stock damage and within specified time frames.
  2. Ensure monthly stock takes are accurate and timely.
  3. Ensure that goods movement inward and outward from the warehouse are conducted in a safe and accurate manner, without product damage.
  4. Maintain effective stock levels after picking each day to allow sufficient stock availability for picking the next day.
  5. Operate fork lift to load/unload trucks, put away stock, etc.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Customers, drivers, and employees are always dealt with in a professional manner, ensuring that their expectations are met.
  2. All paperwork and customer orders/picking is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Picking duties are performed within required time frames with minimal errors and stock damage.
  4. Warehouse equipment is used safely and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and specifications.
  5. Appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times.
