Role Title: Aerospace Engineer

Role Description:

The successful candidate will be required to provide Engineering Services to support acquisition and sustainment activities on Australian Defence Force rotary wing platforms. 

These tasks are to be completed under the AASB Engineering Management System (EMS), and may include, but not limited to, the following:

• Technical Information (TI) handling; registration, applicability, Technical Airworthiness Alert Information (TAAI) and actions
• DASR Classification of Design
• Develop and review Certification Program Plan including:
• Establish Certification Basis
• Establish Certification Levels
• Develop Specification
• Develop Design Plans.
• Design Development (Modifications/Deviations & Engineering Evaluations)
• Peer Review
• Non-21J Approval
• Recommendations for Incorporation Approval and Service Release
• System Safety Analysis
• Development of Functional and Physical Configuration Audits
• Development of Acceptance Test and Evaluation Plans
• Draft and/or technically approve Publication Changes
• New Drawing Requests and Drawing Change Notices
• System tests, investigations and reports 
• Technical support for tests and evaluations
• Recording
• Development, review and approval of support Logistics Processes (LPs).
• Project Management Support
• Logistic Support Aspects
• Preparation of design for CCB Incorporation Approval (IA)
• Preparation of design for CCB Service Release (SR)
• Site visits as required

Essential Requirements: 

• Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical or Mechanical)
• Working knowledge of the Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) Part 21J
• Defence aviation experience
• Desirable Requirements:
• Prior experience on ADF rotary wing capabilities
