Position

We have a position available for a Quality Assurance Manager to be based in Brisbane, QLD.

Our client is an established Defence and Commercial Aerospace Engineering company with extensive contracts across Australia and overseas. This is a high-profile DASA/EASA approved AMO, with PART 145 and AS9110 accreditation. The position requires an experienced QA Manager, with experience in production, who will work autonomously, auditing the QA across the site/facility as well as suppliers.

Responsibilities

- Oversee Quality Management processes

- Certification and compliance with AS9110

- Manage Quality Audit Plans and Schedules - internal and external

- Conduct supplier audits

- Manage Transitions plans

- Business Improvement Program - continual improvement of QMS

- Monitor project activities for compliance and identify improvements

Experience Required

- Minimum 10 years' experience in Lead Auditing

- Must have Aerospace experience

- Formal qualifications in QA and Auditing

- Experience with management of QA systems and processes

- Heavy maintenance experience would be beneficial

- Familiarity with International QA Standards, Military and Aero Standards and Regulations

- Understanding of the commercial relationships between Defence and Government organisations

- Pragmatic approach top QMS and working with key stakeholders

- Applicants MUST be an Australian Citizen to apply for ADF clearances

This is a key role within the organisation - applicants must be well presented and have excellent communication skills. Candidate will require to undergo Police History checks as well as gaining an AGSVA issued security clearance. Must be prepared to travel interstate if required. The role is aviation Quality Assurance, candidates without that experience will not make the shortlist.
