Accounts Payable Officer

​​​​​​​Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for key areas across AP including but not limited to:
    - Complete fortnightly payment runs, ad-hoc overseas payments and ensure accounts payable transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
    - Monthly reconciliation of payables sub-ledgers.
    - Provide analysis and support to vendors and staff in relation to payment processing and management of creditors.
    - Process DINERS credit card transactions and create journals as per timeline.
    - Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries.
    : Assisting in ad-hoc financial management, requests and analysis . Knowledge / experience required for effective performance
  • Knowledge and understanding of APRA's mission and corporate objectives, functions, processes and systems.
  • Ability to prioritise and strong time management skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in using expense management system such as: Concur, Zeno etc.
  • Minimum two years' experience in end-to-end Accounts Payable related roles.
  • Experience in monthly credit card reconciliation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to problem solve.

    Desirable but not essential knowledge / experience

  • Knowledge of Financial Management Information Systems (Oracle - AP).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation applicable to AP matters

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting
