We are seeking a hands-on and highly organised Factory Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in our stair manufacturing facility. The role involves managing production schedules, allocating labour and resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. You will be the key link between management, site teams, and the factory floor, taking full responsibility for efficiency, quality, and workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and oversee daily factory operations for stair manufacturing.
  • Create and manage job schedules, production timelines, and delivery deadlines.
  • Allocate tasks and supervise factory staff to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor output quality, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate with office/project managers to align production with project deadlines.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and liaise with suppliers when needed.
  • Drive continuous improvements in workflow, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in factory operations, production management, or workshop supervision (ideally in joinery, carpentry, or stair manufacturing).
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
