Warrego Water Services is a leading, Australian-owned family business, operating across 4 branches in Queensland. We are an industry leading supplier of Valley Pivot and Lateral Move irrigation equipment and specialising in the design and construction of water infrastructure solutions.
Description:
Our ideal candidate will be focused on growing a career immersed in Agricultural Developments and will be skilled and motivated to provide exceptional results for our customer network.
Due to the scale and diversity of our projects we have an opening within our project delivery team for a Project Sales professional who wants to develop their skills in the water industry and allow us to train them in the way Warrego delivers projects so that they become long-term asset to the business.
We are seeking candidates with industrial sales experience or exposure to the water industry or similar field. There is opportunity for someone to be mentored by experienced Sales professionals and on the job learning opportunities.
As our Project Salesperson, you will:
- Develop knowledge of design and install of Warrego Water products and systems
- Develop an in depth understanding of Center Pivot and Lateral Move Irrigation systems
- Able to set appointments and build rapport with clients.
- Ability to adapt, create and customise quotes and demonstrations.
- Articulate on the phone, email and in-person.
- Results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on closing business and creating long term relationships.
- Ability to work in a team, coordinating with service and project staff
- Liaising with project team, contractors, suppliers and internal company stakeholders
- Troubleshooting problems as they arise on a project – finding efficient and effective solutions
- Working in outdoor field environment, some work related travel
Skills and Experience:-
- Energetic, focussed with a passion to succeed.
- Have sales experience in the irrigation industry (desirable but not essential) or project based business.
- Experience in building, developing and maintaining key customer and supplier relationships.
- Ability to work in a team, coordinating with service and project staff.
- Eager to learn with desire to work as a team to deliver water and irrigation projects to customers.
- An unwavering commitment to maintaining the safety culture of our business
- Estimating and costing complex systems
- GPS Mapping / Hydraulic Pipeline and Pumping Analysis
- Agricultural Science/Business or Agricultural Engineering degree preferred
