About the Company

An established Australian engineering solutions provider is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to support continued growth across key industrial markets. The company supplies, services, and supports high-performance fluid-handling and mechanical equipment across sectors including resources, energy, water, and infrastructure.

About the Role This position is ideal for a results-oriented sales professional with strong technical capability. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across both new equipment and specialised workshop repair/overhaul services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth with a focus on pump, compressor, and rotating equipment service and repair offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering firms, consultants, and end-users.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, service, and project teams to deliver tailored technical solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to bid preparation, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Pursue new equipment sales opportunities, including packaged systems, and achieve sales targets across both service and new product lines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business development or technical sales within industrial, rotating equipment, or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Solid technical understanding of pumps, compressors, mechanical equipment, and engineered packages.
  • Familiarity with API standards (e.g., API 610/685/675) is highly regarded.
  • Proven track record managing complex sales cycles and delivering commercial/technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic approaches to market growth.
  • Willingness to travel within Queensland as required.
  • Full Australian working rights.
