About Us

Community Housing Limited (CHL) is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in the housing sector. We are committed to addressing housing issues and supporting vulnerable populations by offering affordable and sustainable housing solutions to individuals and families in need.

At CHL, our primary goal is to create safe, secure, and affordable housing options that empower individuals and families to thrive. With a focus on delivering high-quality service and outcomes, we manage over 11,000 new and existing properties across various communities. CHL is driven by a collaborative team culture where every member plays a vital role in achieving our mission.

The Role

Are you an enthusiastic project professional with a passion for housing equity looking to take the next step in their career, and work alongside a diverse team of professionals as part of a high profile public private partnership? Join us in shaping communities and transforming lives through innovative housing solutions.

We're looking for a Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of our Ground Lease Model (GLM) housing programs. You'll work closely with our General Manager – Build to Rent (BTR) and cross-functional teams to ensure our housing developments are not only delivered on time, but also ready to serve the diverse needs of our future residents.

  • Keep projects on track by coordinating inputs across housing, property, legal, and asset teams to meet our obligations under GLM agreements.
  • Be the glue between internal teams and external partners by supporting stakeholder engagement, managing communications, and representing the organisation in key project forums.
  • Drive operational readiness by tracking handover milestones, identifying risks, and ensuring we're prepared to mobilise services as new developments come online.
  • Support governance and reporting by preparing high-quality documentation and contributing to continuous improvement in how we manage and deliver projects.
  • Champion our mission by aligning your work with our strategic goals and values, helping us build a world without housing poverty.

About You

To be successful for this role, you will have a genuine commitment for wanting to support vulnerable people in our community together with the following:

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in project coordination, ideally within housing, infrastructure, or social impact sectors.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with precision.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills—you're confident liaising with government, consortium partners, and internal teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a knack for spotting risks and solving problems before they escalate.
  • A commitment to equity, professionalism, and working in a values-led environment.

Please note: A satisfactory police check is required for all staff.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a mission-driven organisation tackling housing poverty through innovation and collaboration.
  • Work on high-impact projects that blend commercial delivery with social outcomes.
  • Enjoy a supportive team culture that values accountability, growth, and shared success.
  • Flexible work arrangements and opportunities for professional development.

As an equal opportunity employer, CHL works closely with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. We strongly encourage candidates of all backgrounds and experiences to apply.

CHL acknowledges the traditional Aboriginal owners of country throughout Australia and we pay our respects to them, their culture and their Elders past and present.
