About the Job:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within an approved budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Objectives:

  • Lead projects - from understanding customer requirements and business needs through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, financials, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation and project change management controls.
  • To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
  • Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate customer stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Working on client projects across varied industries.
  • Understanding approved SoWs, including project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
  • Develop project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Clear and concise stakeholder communication.
  • Liaise with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Proactively manage project expectations with stakeholders to ensure no surprises.
  • Lead and facilitate effective meetings and project governance activities.
  • Act as the point of escalation for issues requiring leadership engagement for direction and resolution.
  • Provide structured and timely status reports to the client and internally.
  • Manage financial plan for project, ensuring project operates within the approved budget.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage risks, issues and assumptions associated with project activities and take appropriate actions.
  • Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them.
  • Engage with and monitor resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.

Experience and Education:

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years project management experience - project planning, risk management, time management, change management.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in technology project delivery across both waterfall and Agile project management.
  • Ability to work on concurrent projects and interrelated dependencies with conflicting deadlines will be crucial to you successful in this role.
  • Understanding of project methodologies – Agile, Prince 2 and / or PMBOK.
  • Strong planning abilities including effective financial management.
  • Effective facilitation and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Be someone with strong initiative, drive and comfortable taking ownership of your projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification— either PMP/PRINCE II.
  • Understanding of Agile concepts.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and financial constraints.
  • Experience developing / inputting to internal processes.
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members' capabilities and skill sets.
