We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Underground Drilling Operations Manager, to join our leadership team based at our head office in Ballarat, Victoria. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing advanced underground drilling operations and driving innovation in one of Australia's most forward-thinking drilling companies.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Underground Drilling Operations Manager will oversee multiple sites and be responsible for delivering on productivity, workforce leadership, safety and continuous improvement goals. You'll lead from the front - setting the standard for operational excellence, innovation and teamwork.

You will also play a critical role in strengthening relationships with our clients by ensuring high quality service delivery and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enforce high safety and environmental standards

  • Lead recruitment, training and development of personnel.

  • Manage operational teams across sites and deliver on KPIs.

  • Strengthen partnerships with clients through reliability, transparency and results.

  • Oversee quality control, data management and compliance

  • Prepare budgets, forecast and operational plans

  • Contribute to strategic business planning

Below are some attributes that will be well regarded:

  • Diploma in Drilling Operations (RII50609)

  • Certificate III in Drilling

  • Certificate IV Drilling

  • Cert IV Supervision

  • 4x4 driver training

  • Senior First Aid or Remote First Aid qualifications

  • Fire extinguisher training

We're Looking for Someone Who Has:

  • 8-10 years' experience in the field or in a related area

  • Proven leadership and people management skills

  • Strong Safety focus and conflict resolution capabilities

  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving abilities.

  • High level planning, budgeting and communication skills

  • Must produce a clear drug and alcohol screen

  • Current National Police Clearance

  • Current and valid Driver's Licence

  • Able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical
