The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and adaptable Operations Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. In this key leadership position, you will oversee operational performance across MMCNQ's multi-site services, focusing on quality, compliance, workforce development, and sustainable growth. This full-time position (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday) is based at our Townsville office.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will work collaboratively with specialist teams to drive operational improvements, implement strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support operational teams across multiple locations to achieve strategic and operational goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement organisational plans and policies.
• Monitor and report on performance, compliance, budgets, and operational improvements.
• Oversee enrolment strategies, workforce planning, rostering, and staff development.
• Build partnerships with external agencies to enhance service delivery.
• Lead change management initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including child safety and workplace health and safety.
• Provide high-level advice and reports to the Executive Director and governance bodies.

What We're Looking For:

• Tertiary qualifications in education, business, change management, or related field (postgraduate qualifications preferred).
• 5+ years of leadership experience in early childhood education and care, preferably across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, ACECQA regulations, and education compliance.
• Proven ability to lead quality improvement, change management, and operational excellence.
• Skilled in analysing financial and operational data to drive informed decision-making.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in technology and systems to enhance operational outcomes.
• Unrestricted driver's licence
