Office Manager/Bookkeeper

South Brisbane | Permanent | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Office Manager or Accounts & Payroll professional ready to take on a varied role within a supportive and established business? We are partnering with a long-standing Australian-owned company that has built a strong reputation for delivering quality products and excellent service. They are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to manage office operations, payroll, and accounts, while also being a key point of support for the wider team, suppliers, and customers.

The Role Reporting directly to senior management, this position offers the chance to oversee both the financial and administrative functions of the business. You'll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while playing a central role in supporting business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with BAS, PAYG, FBT, and ATO reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, super, employment, and WHS requirements.
  • Support audits, WorkCover claims, insurance, and policy updates.
  • Manage payroll (fortnightly/monthly) and superannuation.
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable/receivable and banking.
  • Maintain asset and vehicle registers.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Oversee office administration and contractor liaison.
  • Maintain a safe, organised workplace and support colleagues as needed.

About You

  • A proven track record in a busy accounts or bookkeeping role
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping desirable
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Previous exposure to inventory or ERP systems
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-focused approach
