ABOUT THE ROLE

We're searching for a dynamic, people-first Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day venue performance and help lead Australian Hotel into its next chapter.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who loves being on the floor, driving standards, supporting staff, and creating unforgettable guest moments. You'll work closely with the Venue Manager to elevate service, streamline operations, and ensure the business runs smoothly across bar, bistro, gaming, and TAB.

You'll be the leader who brings consistency, energy, and accountability to every shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team across all departments
  • Oversee daily venue operations and uphold service excellence
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage stock control, rostering support, cash handling, and reporting
  • Drive engagement, uphold culture, and bring our values to life on the floor
  • Support the Venue Manager in strategic operational improvements

ABOUT YOU

You're a confident and engaging leader who thrives in a fast-paced, community-driven venue. You enjoy being hands-on and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to every shift.

You'll bring:

  • 2–3 years' leadership experience in a high-volume hospitality venue
  • Strong people management skills and a natural ability to motivate teams
  • A calm, steady approach under pressure with excellent problem-solving
  • A keen eye for operational detail and service consistency
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Current NSW RSA, RCG, and ARCG (mandatory)
  • Experience with IdealPOS & Deputy (advantageous)
