Company
For 81 years, we've achieved success through our ability to innovate, placing a clear emphasis on how we best serve our customers' needs. As demand continues to grow, we have expanded rapidly, now delivering a superior range of dry goods, frozen and chilled products, fresh seafood and meat, confectionery, paper products, and cleaning solutions.
In recent years, we've seen significant growth and invested in our systems and processes, building a close partnership with Woolworths Group that has continued to deliver high-quality service for our customers and suppliers.
In 2024, Woolworths moved to a 100% interest in the PFD business, bringing PFD exciting opportunities as a strategic part of the Group. Sharing expertise across both teams will ensure our continued success and drive further growth and unlock our collective potential.
About this Position
At PFD Food Services,
we bring people together through food
and that starts with keeping our people and communities safe.
We're looking for someone who's organised, curious, and ready to learn to join our National Fleet team as a Safety / Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Administrator on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
You don't need to be a safety expert or have years of logistics experience, if you're detail-oriented, enjoy following a process through to completion, and want to make a real difference, we'll support you to build the skills.
This role supports our focus on improving how we monitor and follow up safety and CoR practices across Australia. You'll help track and close out safety actions, validate reports, and make sure we have the right evidence to keep people accountable and our business compliant.
It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys admin, problem-solving, and teamwork and who wants to grow in the compliance or safety space.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and track safety and CoR incidents in systems like Elumina, Logmaster, and telematics.
- Check that reported breaches are accurate and that corrective actions have been completed.
- Follow up with site leaders, drivers, and HR teams to make sure coaching and documentation are finalised.
- Help prepare reports and dashboards for our National Fleet and Supply Chain leaders.
- Keep accurate records and assist with general administration and data entry.
- Support communication and awareness around safety and Chain of Responsibility.
What We're Looking For
We're open to people from different backgrounds whether you've worked in administration, operations, customer service, or compliance. What matters most is your attitude and attention to detail.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Strong organisation and follow-up skills.
- Confidence using computer systems and Excel or similar.
- A calm, professional approach to communication and teamwork.
- Curiosity to learn about safety and Chain of Responsibility (we'll train you).
- Integrity and a genuine care for doing things the right way.
- Experience in transport, logistics, or compliance is great but not essential, if you're motivated to learn, we'll support you.
What PFD is Offering the Successful Candidate
We are offering competitive remuneration, superannuation and other staff benefits (such as discounts on staff purchases, discounted accommodation, health insurance and banking).
