Located a short walk from Circular Quay train, bus and light rail interchange, among the cobblestone laneways of The Rocks district in a quirky heritage building, you will find the delightful Sydney Harbour Hotel. Offering 176 rooms and a relaxed restaurant and lobby bar, we are located centrally offering a quintessential Sydney experience. 

Role Purpose:

We are looking for an effective Food and Beverage Supervisor who can support the delivery of bar operations in the Hotel Lobby Bar.

This is a part time position and reports to our General Manager.  

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily bar operations and assist with staff training and rostering
  • Maintain beverage inventory, perform daily stock checks, and manage requisitions
  • Ensure compliance with RSA, licensing, and workplace health & safety regulations
  • Provide friendly, professional service and handle guest feedback promptly
  • Support the creation and promotion of new cocktails, specials, and events

Skills and experience:

Your many talents will include:

  • Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role in a restaurant environment
  • Understanding of current food and wine trends.
  • Established knowledge of a-la-carte, breakfast buffet and beverage service
  • A great communicator with strong motivations to provide great service
  • The ability to showcase the best of Sydney to locals and the visitors.
  • A natural ability to connect with people from around the globe.
  • NSW RSA certificate
