RPA Test Specialist

Position Summary:

The ICT Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Specialist will be well versed in developing testing strategies for RPA, Low Code, and IDP solutions, with a special emphasis on Blue Prism, Power Platforms and Hyper Science. They will specify, develop, and write test plans and test scripts, produces test cases, conducts regression testing, and uses automated test software applications to evaluate the behaviour, functionality, and integrity of systems, and documents the results of tests in defect reports and related documentation. They will be able to manage test teams and collaborate closely with the client to ensure that client procedures and standards are adhered to.

The Specialist would be collaborating with key clients to enable them to ensure that delivered RPA solutions meet agreed quality standards. If successful, you will play a critical role in the growth of the Cognizant team and its RPA capability across ANZ.

This role requires strong banking domain expertise across Mortgages, Credit Card Verification, Consumer Finance, Group Operations, Procurement, and UDA Management. You will work closely with clients to validate critical business processes and systems, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

This is a permanent role, and we need someone with a blend of good client facing/ consulting skills (i.e., effective communication skills, articulate) experience within testing aspects/delivery. This role sits within Cognizant's RPA Practice.

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in specifying, develop and write test plans and test scripts for RPA, low code and IDP platforms like Blue Prism, UI Path, Power Platform and Hyper science.

• Able to produce test cases, conduct regression testing.

• Experience in the use of automated test software applications to test the behaviour, functionality, and integrity of systems.

• Practical experience testing RPA solutions delivering over ten processes in PROD.

• Be able to document the results of tests in defect reports and related documentation and able to present results to key stakeholders.

• RPA Tool Certification.: Blue Prism Accredited Developer (AD01) Certified, Blue Prism Accredited Professional Developer (APD01) Certified, Solution Designer Preferred.

• Experience in working with masked financial data and ensuring test data quality.

• Experience in working in the testing area of financial institutions and understanding and complying with internal and external data security policies/privacy laws.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, communication, and implementation of testing strategies

• Work within project schedule constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues.

• Scheduling and conducting quality audit inspections, and analysing and reviewing systems, data, and documentation.

• Communicating, educating, and consulting with users and management to ensure awareness and adherence to standards, procedures and quality control issues and activities.

• Recommending corrective action plans and improvements in the resolution of non-compliance with standards detected through monitoring and auditing of processes and procedures.

• Assisting in troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing, and resolving system problems and issues

• Developing, conducting, and providing technical guidance and training in application software and operational procedures

• Testing, identifying, and diagnosing functionality errors and faults in systems, and programming code within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure systems perform to specification.

• Performing organisational systems architecture reviews and assessments, and recommending current and future hardware and software strategies and directions

• Working on Support and Maintenance activities

• Creating and reviewing technical documentation such as procedural, instructional, and operational guides and manuals.

• Contribute to solution documentation to support solution transition and maintenance, do effort estimation, Delivery planning, Software Quality Assurance.

• Lead an offshore testing team of eighteen or more members by providing strategic guidance, reviewing test outcomes for quality assurance, and continuously monitoring testing activities to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Fostered collaboration across teams, resolved blockers efficiently, and maintained exacting standards of delivery through initiative-taking oversight and mentorship.

• Possess strong banking domain knowledge across key areas including Mortgages, Credit Card Verification, Consumer Finance, Group Operations, Procurement, and UDA Management.

• Apply domain expertise to support testing activities, ensuring accurate validation of business processes and systems aligned with banking operations.

Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):

• ISTQB Foundation level Certified Tester

Salary Range: >$100,000
