RPA Test Specialist

Position Summary: The ICT Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Specialist will be well versed in developing testing strategies for RPA, Low Code, and IDP solutions, with emphasis on Blue Prism, Power Platform, and Hyper Science. They will specify, develop, and write test plans and test scripts, produce test cases, conduct regression testing, and use automated test software applications to evaluate the behaviour, functionality, and integrity of systems, documenting test results in defect reports and related documentation. They will manage test teams and collaborate closely with the client to ensure client procedures and standards are adhered to.

The Specialist will collaborate with key clients to ensure delivered RPA solutions meet agreed quality standards. If successful, you will play a critical role in the growth of the Cognizant team and its RPA capability across ANZ. This role requires strong banking domain expertise across Mortgages, Credit Card Verification, Consumer Finance, Group Operations, Procurement, and UDA Management. You will work closely with clients to validate critical business processes and systems, ensuring high-quality outcomes. This is a permanent role requiring a blend of strong client-facing/consulting skills (effective communication, articulation) and experience in testing aspects and delivery. This role sits within Cognizant's RPA Practice.

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in specifying, developing and writing test plans and test scripts for RPA, low code, and IDP platforms like Blue Prism, UI Path, Power Platform and Hyper Science.
• Able to produce test cases and conduct regression testing.
• Experience using automated test software applications to test the behaviour, functionality, and integrity of systems.
• Practical experience testing RPA solutions delivering more than ten processes in production.
• Ability to document test results in defect reports and related documentation and present results to key stakeholders.
• RPA Tool Certification: Blue Prism Accredited Developer (AD01) and Blue Prism Accredited Professional Developer (APD01); Solution Designer preferred.
• Experience working with masked financial data and ensuring test data quality.
• Experience in testing within financial institutions and understanding and complying with internal and external data security policies/privacy laws.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, communicate, and implement testing strategies.
• Work within project schedule constraints, communicating identified risks and issues.
• Schedule and conduct quality audit inspections, and analyse and review systems, data, and documentation.
• Educate and consult with users and management to ensure awareness and adherence to standards, procedures, and quality control activities.
• Recommend corrective action plans and improvements to resolve non-compliance with standards detected through monitoring and auditing of processes and procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing, and resolving system problems and issues.
• Develop, conduct, and provide technical guidance and training in application software and operational procedures.
• Test, identify, and diagnose functionality errors and faults in systems, and program code within established testing protocols and quality standards to ensure systems perform to specification.
• Perform organisational systems architecture reviews and assessments, and recommend current and future hardware and software strategies.
• Contribute to support and maintenance activities.
• Create and review technical documentation such as procedural, instructional, and operational guides and manuals.
• Contribute to solution documentation to support solution transition and maintenance, perform effort estimation, delivery planning, and Software Quality Assurance.
• Lead an offshore testing team of eighteen or more members by providing strategic guidance, reviewing test outcomes for quality assurance, and monitoring testing activities to align with project goals and timelines. Foster collaboration, resolve blockers, and maintain delivery standards through oversight and mentorship.
• Apply banking domain knowledge across Mortgages, Credit Card Verification, Consumer Finance, Group Operations, Procurement, and UDA Management to support testing activities and ensure accurate validation of business processes.

Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):

• ISTQB Foundation Level Certified Tester

Salary Range: >$100,000
