We're seeking an experienced Program Manager to deliver multiple complex business, information, application, and technology projects within a leading government department.

This role offers a 12-month contract with the possibility of two 12-month extensions, providing stability and the opportunity to make a lasting impact. Based in Carseldine, you'll be driving transformation initiatives that directly support Queensland's future services.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage program and project teams, balancing workload, resources, and performance objectives.
  • Oversee delivery of multiple ICT and business projects, ensuring milestones and outcomes are achieved on time and within scope.
  • Report on program progress, highlighting risks and issues that could impact delivery.
  • Partner with other IT and business units to ensure integrated, whole-of-program solutions.
  • Apply and provide feedback on approved project management methodologies (PRINCE2, MSP, Agile).
  • Manage staff performance and development, including recruitment, coaching, and appraisals.
  • Drive change management activities and support stakeholders through transformation.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as a Program Manager delivering complex ICT and business transformation projects in enterprise or government environments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple project managers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in program governance, risk and issue management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of program and project management methodologies (PRINCE2, MSP, Agile).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline (highly desirable).
