Our client is seeking a highly motivated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Officer to join their team. This role is all about driving safety initiatives, ensuring compliance, and building a positive safety culture across the organisation.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Drive and support safety initiatives across all airport operations.
  • Lead investigations, incident reporting, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and deliver WHS training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
  • Partner with managers, contractors, and staff to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor, review, and improve safety systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide regular WHS reporting to senior management.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of WHS experience (aviation, construction, mining, or similar industry desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (Diploma highly regarded).
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
