Your next company & team

They're small (20 people), lean, and growing — and they need an accountant who's ready to own the numbers, work closely with the CFO, and get hands-on with a multi-million-dollar loan book in film finance.

They are a private investment and finance business, operating across film & TV finance. Fun, casual style but a team of high performers who adapt quickly the rapid changes in this amazing industry.

The CFO is commercial, down-to-earth, and wants someone he can rely on. You'll also work alongside their Bookkeeper.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your work will touch everything — from reporting to treasury to international finance deals.

What You'll Do

• Own month-end close, reconciliations, and core financial reporting
• Support and eventually lead financial modelling for new film loans
• Track complex loan flows and help manage the treasury function
• Assist with collections, repayment monitoring, and fund management
• Prepare borrower and investor reports
• Review loan documentation and extract key financial info
• Work closely with internal teams, the CFO, and global stakeholders
• Contribute to building new finance systems and structures

Must-Haves:Just as important as the technical skills in this role is your personality and how you fit into the team. They're looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective, add balance, and bring a bit of energy and drive to the group. From a financial or operational perspective, this isn't insanely complex. What they are looking for is a strong foundation, curiosity and a great character to add a new dynamic to their team. 

• Ideally, between 3-8 years of experience in Accounting
• Extra points if you have corporate or financial accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to manage reporting, reconciliations, and financial operations independently
• Comfort working in small, lean environments - bringing your own unique personality
• Commercial mindset and ability to interpret legal/financial documents
• Willingness to learn and grow with the role

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in SMEs or fast-paced environments
• CPA or close to completion
• Familiarity with film finance, property, or private equity
• Exposure to treasury or loan management
• Experience with Xero or interest in implementing new finance tools
