About the Role
As Regional Director, you will lead a network of branches and in-branch lenders across a defined geographical region within our Retail Banking division. Reporting to the State Manager, you will be responsible for driving portfolio growth by embedding best practices that enhance customer acquisition, experience, and retention.
You will champion operational risk excellence and foster team member capability and engagement across both branch teams and in-branch lenders.
Your role is pivotal in executing the Bank's strategic priorities at a regional level, ensuring alignment with State and National goals.
You will focus on workforce planning and uplift the capability of Branch Managers and Lending roles, particularly in sales leadership, business development, relationship management, and credit submissions.
With direct accountability for a significant revenue portfolio and leadership oversight, you will play a key role in shaping a high-performing, customer-centric, and compliant regional network.
About you
You are an experienced leader in multi-site retail banking, with a strong background in growth-oriented leadership and lending. You have demonstrated success in coaching, growing teams, business development, achieving growth KPIs in a fast-paced environment.
Your expertise includes sound residential lending credit submission skills for both PAYG and Non-PAYG customers, and a deep understanding of the Australian retail banking landscape.
You excel at sales leadership and coaching, holding yourself and others accountable while proactively driving results. Your commercial and financial acumen enables you to make informed decisions that support sustainable growth.
You are customer-oriented, adapt your leadership style to suit different situations, and foster an inclusive, engaged, and collaborative team culture. Your ability to champion change, manage risk, and build strong relationships—both internally and externally—sets you apart as a leader who delivers results and inspires others.
