Position Summary

The Head of Manufacturing will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Alpha-H's manufacturing function. This role will ensure the efficient, compliant, and high-quality production of skincare products, while supporting the company's growth, innovation, and sustainability objectives. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing operations within the beauty, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sectors, and will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with Alpha-H's business objectives and brand values.
• Lead initiatives to scale production capacity in line with global demand and product innovation.

Operational Management

• Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, maintenance, and inventory control.
• Ensure adherence to production timelines, cost targets, and quality standards.

Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance

• Uphold the highest standards of product quality and safety in accordance with TGA, GMP, ISO, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams to support new product development and operational scalability.
• Manage relationships with third-party manufacturers and suppliers to ensure alignment with Alpha-H's standards and expectations.

Sustainability & Innovation

• Drive the adoption of sustainable manufacturing practices and support the company's environmental goals.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and automation solutions to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) are advantageous.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably within the skincare, cosmetics, personal care industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in GMP-compliant manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex operations, and deliver continuous improvement outcomes.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Experience in skincare industry is an advantage
