What you will do

As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the corporate functions for MSQ. Reporting to the CEO, the key duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Oversee the efficient and effective operation of all corporate functions and systems including HR, WHS, IT, procurement and contract management, administration, facilities and asset management ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Monitor and support operations across two locations - Brisbane Head Office and the Centre of Excellence, Maryborough.
  • Subject matter expert providing advice, direction and assistance on requests and issues relating to all aspects of corporate operations, with the ability to clearly describe the rationale behind decisions and recommendations.
  • Proactively support the executive leadership team, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, legislative, and procedural obligations, including WHS and legislative obligations.
  • Maintain and actively promote the application and use of corporate policies, practices, and record-keeping.
  • Ensure sustainable, compliant, and robust systems are in place; and drive digital enhancement initiatives that support efficient service delivery and maintain cybersecurity measures.
  • Support the CEO and executive leadership team through high-quality written documentation and advisory services, including developing reports and presentations for the Board.
  • Provide guidance and support to build the capability of the broader MSQ team and supervise a small team of direct reports.
  • Undertake other key duties and responsibilities, as reasonably directed by the CEO.
Who we are looking for

As a small, but growing organisation, a proactive, hands-on approach to get things done are essential requirements. We will consider how well you demonstrate the capabilities critical to the performance of this role focussing on:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, breadth and depth of experience in operational business management and corporate services functions including HR, WHS, IT, contract management, administration, facilities and asset management.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and a natural planner and problem solver with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with excellent risk management skills to ensure quality of data, briefings and governance documents, and delivery of high standards of work in line with policy and procedures.
  • Uphold integrity through responsible management and use of processes and resources, using diplomacy, tact, and sound judgement on sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in using electronic information systems (Microsoft Suite, plus other information management platforms); and experience with Employment Hero, and Content Manager or software is highly advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications with demonstrated management experience in corporate services and/or business operational management.
  • Experience with government processes/legislation and working directly with a CEO and Board would be highly regarded.
