Maintenance Manager – Residential/Relocation Role

Lead a diverse maintenance team in a unique island environment

Christmas Island Phosphates (CIP) is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee both Fixed and Mobile Plant maintenance. This is a leadership role where you'll drive performance, optimise equipment availability, and ensure compliance with WA mining safety standards.

CIP, a subsidiary of Phosphate Resources Limited, is the island's largest private employer, with a close-knit and culturally diverse team of approximately 200 people. Our operations are conducted under both Western Australian and Federal legislation.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading a multi-disciplinary maintenance team (planners, supervisors, trades);
  • Overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance across fixed and mobile plant;
  • Driving equipment performance and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Managing budgets, reporting and the PRONTO maintenance system; and
  • Building and maintaining a strong safety culture across operations.

What we're looking for

  • Significant maintenance leadership experience in mining, processing or heavy industry;
  • Strong knowledge of fixed plant and/or electrical maintenance;
  • Proven ability with maintenance planning and CMMS (PRONTO highly regarded);
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is desirable;
  • Solid understanding of WA Mines Safety & Inspection legislation; and
  • A hands-on leader who develops people and delivers results.
