Tax Manager - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to step into a pivotal role supporting the Head of Tax, driving compliance excellence and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the group's tax governance and strategy.

The Role

As the Group Tax Compliance Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering the organisation's tax compliance, reporting and governance requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Australian tax compliance obligations, including income tax and FBT payments and returns.
  • Overseeing tax-related financial reporting, including tax effect accounting and associated disclosures.
  • Supporting tax transparency initiatives, including input into annual and sustainability reporting.
  • Preparing tax budgets, plans and forecasts.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimise risk.
  • Assisting with tax assurance reviews, audits and disputes.
  • Embedding the tax risk governance framework across the group.
  • Preparing updates and insights for senior stakeholders and governance committees.

About You

You're a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional who enjoys being hands-on and working collaboratively across the business. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • A degree in Commerce (Accounting) and CA or CPA qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience within a Big 4, mid-tier, or large corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to manage or support a tax compliance function.
  • Strong tax effect accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience.
  • A proactive mindset with an interest in process optimisation and tax technology.
