Your Role

As Centre Cook, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, healthy environment through food. You will:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked kitchen
  • Order supplies and manage inventory
  • Communicate with educators to meet dietary needs
  • Support the centre's mealtime routines and assist where needed
  • Be open to learning more about nutrition for different age groups, especially infants

About You

You are passionate about creating food with purpose and care.

You have:

  • A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or happy to obtain once employed)
  • Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergy management
  • A practical understanding of food budgeting and planning
  • Cooking experience in early childhood settings (desirable but not essential)
  • A commitment to supporting children's growth, development, and wellbeing through food
