About Us

ERGT Australia is a leading provider of high-risk safety and emergency response training across Mining, Oil & Gas, Maritime, Defence, Aviation, and Major Hazard Facilities. For over 30 years, we've helped professionals develop the skills to respond effectively to emergencies and minimise harm in the workplace.

About the role

This is a part-time role, working a 64-hour fortnight across 8 or 9 days (flexible). It is a 6–12 month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

At ERGT, we believe payroll is more than just numbers — it's about supporting our people, making sure they feel valued, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. As our Payroll Coordinator, you'll not only manage the end-to-end payroll process but also be a trusted point of contact for staff and leaders, helping them navigate entitlements and processes with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll for 250+ employees, including timesheet approvals and adjustments
  • Accurately process new starters, employee changes, and exits
  • Optimise payroll systems (ADP & RealTime) and manage integrations with external platforms
  • Deliver payroll reporting and analysis to support organisational needs
  • Reconcile and process multiple state payroll tax, superannuation, and other deductions
  • Provide clear, supportive guidance to staff and leaders on payroll matters
  • Review processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

About you

  • Proven experience in a payroll coordination or administration role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, RealTime or similar).
  • Understanding of payroll-related legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Certificate IV in Payroll Administration (10047NAT) or equivalent experience (desired)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive approach.
  • A people person – approachable, supportive, and able to build strong working relationships across the business.

Why Join ERGT?

At ERGT, we don't just focus on what you do — we value how you do it. You'll be joining a team where your skills are respected, your ideas are encouraged, and your growth is supported.
