Case Worker – Family Support in School

• Based in South-West and Inner West Sydney

About the Role

• As the Case Worker – Family Support in Schools program, you will oversee providing case management and support for families with children and young people. Some of your duties will include:
• Collaborate with school staff to identify students "at risk" and develop thoughtful intervention plans
• Keep accurate records, manage case files, complete documentation, and collect essential data
• Stay current with evidence-based practices and emerging research in case management
• Partner with families and cultural representatives to deliver support that's responsive and culturally respectful

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualification social work and demonstrated experience working and engaging with children, young people and their families
• Proven knowledge of relevant legislation, NSW Child Safe Standards
• Strong understanding of barriers and complex issues that families in contact with the child protection system experience, and the management of these within a case management and legislative framework
• Highly developed analytical case work skills, including well developed and effective intervention, interpersonal and written communication skills
