About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and versatile chef who can take charge of the kitchen and bring creativity, consistency, and care to every dish. You will work in a collaborative team and play a key role in menu development and daily kitchen operations.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes with consistency and attention to quality.

· Develop and implement seasonal menu items, including specials and baked goods.

· Monitor inventory and ordering of stock to ensure efficient kitchen operation.

· Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and OH&S regulations.

· Supervise and train junior kitchen staff where required.

· Maintain a clean, organised, and professional kitchen at all times.

· Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

· Manage kitchen costs and portion control to minimise waste and maintain profitability.


What We're Looking For:

· Minimum a relevant trade qualification and at least 1 year experience OR 3 years of experience as a Chef in a busy café or similar environment (without the formal trade qualification).

· Strong all-round kitchen skills – from prep to plating, baking to grill.

· A passion for fresh, seasonal produce and a love for breakfast/lunch service.

· Strong organisational and time management skills.

· Understanding of cost control and food safety procedures.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.

· Relevant commercial cookery qualifications (Certificate III or above preferred).
