•Provide high level clinical advice and support to clinicians, team leaders and service managers on activities which will drive the reform of mental health and specialised services clinical practice and service delivery systems.

About the role

As a Clinical Initiatives Coordinator in Mental Health and Specialised Services your day will be dynamic and varied, with no two days being the same. There will be a mix of research, evaluation, quality improvement, clinical redesign and project management with a strong focus on collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will draw on your clinical experience to work alongside frontline staff and clinical leads to implement innovative practice that transforms the care we provide to our consumers.

There are two permanent roles currently advertised allowing flexibility of work location and working arrangements. Candidates are encouraged to include their ideal work arrangement in their application for the panel to consider.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • High level clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in contemporary mental health and specialised services.
  • High level knowledge of contemporary national and state mental health policies, plans, legislation, guidelines and frameworks, including an understanding of mental health service provision issues.
  • Proven high level communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills including the ability to effectively consult and negotiate with senior management, clinicians, consultants and key stakeholders on issues requiring development and/or change.
  • Ability to initiate, plan and evaluate clinical initiatives to promote positive consumer outcomes.
