Salary Classification:   Level 4

Banana Shire is situated in Central Queensland, Australia located 120 km west of the growing industrial city and port of Gladstone - and an easy drive to the city of Rockhampton.

Our population is approximately 15,000 people spread over 28,577 square kilometres. Major industries in the area include Coal Mining, Power Generation, Beef Production, dryland cropping and irrigation such as lucerne and cotton.

Our urban centres and towns include Moura, Taroom, Banana, Baralaba, Dululu, Goovigen, Jambin, Thangool, Theodore, Wowan and Cracow.

The Opportunity

Banana Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individuals to join Council's Water Services Team. The successful applicants will be a keen learner with a high level of fitness.  Water Industry experience is desirable but not essential.

Key Accountability and Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Plumbers;
  • Undertaking labouring duties; and
  • Carry out construction and maintenance activities.

Eligibility requirements

  • Mandatory Criteria

  • Current C class manual driver's licence;

  • Construction White Card.
  • To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
