Job description

Right at Home, Sydney Ryde Region are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in the Sydney Ryde Region spanning across from Ryde to Gordon and Eastwood to Lane Cove. You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You can demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;
  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;
  • Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;
  • Providing support with social and recreational activities;
  • Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications;
  • Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;
  • Responding to emergency situations; and

Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability) or equivalent
  • Current National Police Check & Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence and your own well- maintained car
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Smart mobile phone
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with aged and persons with a disability.
