**Job description**

**Right at Home, Sydney Ryde Region** are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate **Personal Care Workers** to join our team in the Sydney Ryde Region spanning across from Ryde to Gordon and Eastwood to Lane Cove. You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You can demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;
- Providing support with social and recreational activities;
- Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications;
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;
- Responding to emergency situations; and

Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

**Qualifications**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability) or equivalent
- Current National Police Check & Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- At least one year’s experience working with aged and/or person with a disability
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence and your own well
- maintained car
- Comprehensive car insurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Smart mobile phone
- Covid-19 vaccination certificate
- Medication Assistance (desirable)

**Preferred Skills**:

- Medication Competency preferred
- Experience working with aged and persons with a disability.
