Owston Hotel is a new boutique hotel coming to Fremantle's West End, inspired by the warmth of a local Italian Locanda. Our focus is genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and creating a place that feels quietly special for both locals and visitors.

Role Description

We're looking for a Rooms Manager to help us bring Owston Hotel to life. Get hands-on and be involved with the opening - set up systems, help define service standards, and work closely with the broader team to get everything running smoothly.

Once open, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel - from housekeeping to guest services. You'll be the calm, organised presence that keeps everything moving, ensuring each guest's stay feels personal.

What you'll be doing:

  • Help design and implement operating procedures and guest service systems before opening
  • Manage daily room operations, including housekeeping, guest services, and maintenance coordination
  • Recruit, train, and support a small front-of-house team
  • Maintain high standards of presentation across rooms and shared spaces
  • Manage room inventory, bookings, and guest communications
  • Work with the broader team to create a seamless guest experience between the hotel and our other hospitality venues
  • Monitor feedback and continuously improve how we do things

About you

  • You have experience in hotel management, and understand what great service feels like
  • You're confident leading a small team and creating structure where there isn't much yet
  • You're organised and don't mind rolling up your sleeves
  • You have proficiency in budget management and cost control
  • You have exceptional guest service and communication skills
  • You're familiar with hotel systems and standards
  • You're excited by the idea of being part of something from the beginning
