About the Role:

Mental Health / Behavioural Support Worker – NSW 2318

Rates: $33–$60 per hour (depending on experience and shift type)

We're seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to provide consistent weekend support for a young NDIS participant with Autism (Level 3), ADHD, Developmental Delay, and Type 1 Diabetes.

About the Role:

You'll be working one-on-one to ensure safety, stability, and structure across home and community settings. The ideal candidate will have strong behavioural management skills, experience supporting non-verbal individuals, and confidence assisting with diabetes care (Dexcom monitoring and insulin awareness).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 behavioural and personal support
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies and safe redirection techniques
  • Support daily routines, sensory activities, and community outings
  • Monitor and assist with diabetes management (training provided)
  • Maintain clear communication with family and care team

Shifts:

  • Friday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (plus 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM every 2–3 weeks)
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Experience with Autism (Level 3) and complex behaviours
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Police Check
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Current driver's licence and comprehensive car insurance
  • Behavioural or restraint training highly regarded
