About the Roles

We are seeking candidates for a variety of roles within the SRES Operations section, which may be filled as either ongoing or non-ongoing. Non-ongoing positions will be offered for an initial term of 6 to 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

APS Level 6 Senior Regulatory Officer

Under limited direction, the APS Level 6 Senior Regulatory Officer will provide expert guidance on CER programs and schemes, interpreting legislation, policy, and procedures to address complex and strategic issues. The role involves delivering quality team outputs, collaborating across functions on procurement, planning, evaluations, and contract management, while managing risks and ensuring quality assurance. The officer will contribute to cross-agency compliance programs, prepare executive briefings, analyse complex data, and support APS staff development. Essential experience includes regulatory operations, client service delivery, briefing on complex matters, project management, and staff supervision. Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, law, economics, or related fields are desirable.

APS Level 4 Regulatory Officer

Under some direction, APS Level 4 Regulatory Officer assess applications and validate claims using legislation, guidelines, and procedures. They confidently escalate complex issues, resolve standard stakeholder enquiries, and provide accurate advice. The role includes administrative and operational support such as research, analysis, and preparing reports. Officer work both independently and collaboratively to meet team objectives. At APS Level 5, Regulatory Officer also contributes to strategic planning, process improvements, and team goals. They resolve moderately complex enquiries with limited direction, applying sound judgement and legislative knowledge. At APS Level 4 and APS Level 5, we are seeking candidates with experience or an understanding of compliance, data analysis, electrical standards, and the ability to interpret and apply complex legislation. Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, economics, law, or an electrical-based trade are highly desirable but not essential.
