About the opportunity:

The Accounting Officer is a key member of the Financial Services team, contributing to the effective financial operations of Super SA. Core responsibilities include processing payments and contributions, reconciling bank statements related to member transactions, journalling, receipting, and performing a range of other financial tasks.

About you

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be comfortable working with people at all levels. They will be confident in building positive working relationships, able to manage multiple tasks at once, and motivated to work independently especially when solving tricky reconciliations or fixing transactional issues.

To be successful, you must address the selection criteria below in a cover letter:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage own work performance and meet deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated experience in a financial operations environment
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing, interpreting and presenting data in a logical manner
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing financial and management reports, including financial statements.
  • Sound knowledge across a range of accounting and financial functions and relevant accounting standards.

Remuneration

ASO3 – $67,589 min - $72,033 max per annum + 12% Super
