About the role:

In this newly created role, you'll lead the design and maintenance of lending policies that will drive sustainable growth whist managing risk responsibly. Partnering with senior leaders and experts across the business, you'll influence key decisions, embed best-practice credit risk standards, and help shape the policies that safeguard both our customers and our organisation's future.

This will include:

  • Leading the development, review, and maintenance of lending policies in line with strategic direction and risk appetite.
  • Identifying and delivering improvements in credit risk management through enhanced policy, process, or automation.
  • Preparing and presenting submissions and reports for committees and related governance forums.
  • Overseeing effective policy change management, including communication, training, and implementation support.
  • Promoting a strong credit risk and compliance culture across the business.

About You:

You're a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in credit risk and a passion for responsible lending. Confident leading change and influencing at all levels, you combine technical expertise with sound judgment and clear communication.

We also seek:

  • Proven experience in a senior financial services role, specialising in Credit Risk or related disciplines.
  • Experience with contemporary credit risk management practices and trends.
  • Advanced lending knowledge and experience.

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
