Perth, Western Australia Health Science Hub Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Health Science Hub (RTO is looking for animal care workers who are interested in starting or continuing their careers in the Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector.

We can only consider applicants with:

  • Two (2) years of relevant industry work experience, and
  • A completed Certificate III, IV or Bachelor's degree in an animal-related field.

The role will be training a class of 16-18 year-olds the Certificate III in Animal Care Services ( ACM30122).

We are seeking additional trainers in Perth during school terms 1, 2 & 3 for 1-2 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday). Additional hours may be available.

An advantage would be that you already hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessing (TAE However, we would be willing to train the right person to attain this qualification over time.

The right candidate will have the following:

  • Be comfortable in front of students and display the confidence to explain and deliver the required content.
  • Be capable of reviewing and delivering pre-created content.
  • Ability to run practical activities that engage students in the qualification content.
  • Ability to understand the qualification assessments to ensure assessments can be explained accurately, linked to the content and guidance can be provided.
  • Be interested and able to work with 16-18-year-old students.
  • Understanding and manageing the weekly class schedule including excursions and incursions.
  • Work within a team as well as autonomously.
  • Manage change and contribute to continuous improvement.

Have the ability to use technology in the classroom. This includes:

  • Learning Management System (LMS)
  • eLearning and online assessment.
  • Tablets, Laptops, and AV display devices.
  • Various apps.
