ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Program Manager at the GBS, who will lead the team of staff at the clinic and oversee provision of the BreastScreen. This position would suit an experienced Radiographer looking to step up, or someone with proven management experience who is looking for a challenge to diversify their skillset.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the clinic, while maintaining all BreastScreen protocols. The successful applicant must be a demonstrated leader who possesses excellent communication and organisation skills, as well as being motivated and dedicated to drive a strong culture of high quality patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Coordination and management of BreastScreen services,
  • Co-ordination and management of the screening and assessment service including:
  • Administration - with clerical and reception staff.
  • Recruitment (BreastScreen Clients) - with the recruitment/education officer.
  • Data collection - with the data manager, data entry staff
  • Clinical service provision - with Radiologists
  • Development and implementation of business plans for service programs
  • Coordination of ongoing education, support and professional development for staff
  • Establishment and development of networks in the community with the aim of facilitating client understanding and satisfaction in conjunction with:
  • Management of financial resources, including data analysis and reporting in line with budgets and funding
  • Understanding of BSV needs and develop strong relationships to service these needs.
  • Identify and foster key relationships with BSV.
  • Manage client complains.
  • Identify and assist in developing new opportunities for BSV and Lake Imaging around BreastScreen.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Experience in staff supervision and training
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead the development and improvement of service delivery
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence
  • Police Check and Working With Children Check
  • Knowledge of breast imaging quality assurance procedures in analogue and digital environments
  • Background in health service management
  • Extensive experience and competency in screening and diagnostic mammography and assessment work-up procedures
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary management
  • Well-developed knowledge of the BreastScreen Australia Program
  • Well-established knowledge of Medicare requirements for diagnostic breast imaging.
