About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering a new outpatient model of care aimed at improving health outcomes for patients with osteoarthritis. This role provides a unique opportunity to apply expert dietetic skills in a dynamic, consumer-centred environment.

As a Senior Dietitian, you will:

• Provide and develop an expert dietetic service, delivering sensitive, inclusive, and person-centred care.
• Use motivational interviewing and behaviour change strategies to empower patients to engage in positive health behaviours.
• Support, supervise, and mentor less experienced staff and students, contributing to professional development across the team.
• Lead designated quality improvement projects in line with Barwon Health Strategic Plan and Nutrition & Dietetics Business Plan.

Your practice will reflect current best-practice guidelines and professional standards for Nutrition & Dietetics. While the role is primarily based at the McKellar Centre, flexibility across Barwon Health sites may be required to support service delivery.
