The purpose of the pilot is to ensure the magistrates have access to relevant information about an individual to make an informed sentencing decision. - Provide guidance and oversight in identifying, responding to, and managing risks associated with the Court Advisory Service.
- Assist in identifying trends and issues in client service delivery and evaluating client outcomes, including performance reporting, to ensure coordinated local service delivery.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as QPS, DoJ staff, legal representatives, Indigenous agencies and other community agencies to provide advice to courts.
- Promote and nurture a team culture which values diversity, has good morale, and where individuals are adequately trained and competent in working with diverse target groups.
- Action the planning of a work area, including direct input into the development of work plans, providing advice on priorities, solutions and strategies for monitoring progress and achieving required outcomes.
- Ensure the service delivery of the Court Advisory Service is operating within a trauma-informed framework.
- Ensure all service delivery is culturally appropriate, respecting and valuing diverse backgrounds and needs of First Nations people.
- Ensure team members' behaviour aligns with the QLD Public Service Code of Conduct, QCS Culture Framework and performance standards.
- Model and demonstrate professional presentation and behaviour aligned to the standards of conduct for Queensland Public Service employees.
