Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Apply the statistical forecasting tool to capture customer demand and market intelligence.
  • Ensure an accurate, complete, and up-to-date forecast within the Logility Planning system.
  • Own all primary and secondary parameters within Logility for both demand and inventory functions at the national level.
  • Work with Marketing and the Customer Team through regularly scheduled Forecast Alignment meetings to maintain alignment between demand forecasts and corporate budgetary targets. Prepare and distribute agenda, material, and necessary information to participants and meeting minutes to required organization members.
  • Perform a custodial function within the Forecasting process.
  • Provide feedback to the Planning Director and the business where process is not being followed or needs development.
  • Share forecast accuracy reports, encompassing root cause analysis and steps to rectify issues.
  • Serve as guardians of the Global Planning Calendar – communicate regularly to the business and ensure adherence to achievement/cadence deadlines.
  • Lead collaborative efforts within the Supply Chain.
  • Manage Supply Chain Execution for Key Projects from Start to Finish, including assisting with evaluations.
  • Respond to and anticipate reasonable requests to expedite shipments during periods of un-forecasted upswing in demand.
  • Recommend and manage Total Plant Requirements inclusive of forecast and safety stock.
  • Work with the Central Planning team to ensure the build plans meet requirements to achieve efficient inventory to meet our business plans.
  • Own the Phase in Phase out Process and Communication.
  • Recommend products for commercial allocation in relation to Low Stock/Out of Stock signal tracking.
  • Communicate monthly & weekly product availability and any significant issues constraining the supply of inventory to the organization.
  • Support the S&OP Process in leadership across all supply & Inventory requirements.
  • Review and pinpoint the root cause of Fill Rate, as well as devise actions to tackle and resolve it.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in planning (demand and supply) within an FMCG environment.
  • Strong analytical, numeracy, and planning skills.
  • Displays a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
  • Disciplined & methodical with an ability to work to a fast pace and tight deadlines in peak periods.
  • Proficient in using the planning functionality of SAP and working knowledge of other statistical forecasting tools and concepts.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication & relationship-building skills across multiple levels and functions.
  • Great Teammate with a focus on Customer Service.
  • Experience in working within a coordinated Business Planning process.
  • Experience in a seasonal, importing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in an Operations-related field.
