Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Depot Officer to join our team at our North Fremantle WA site. Reporting to the Site Manager, this hands-on role is key to ensuring our products are delivered in full, on time, and to the highest standards for our customers.
As a valued member of our depot operations, you'll be involved in everything from dispatch and inventory coordination to quality checks and site improvement initiatives, all while helping us maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy and customer satisfaction.

As Depot Officer, you'll play a key role in the day to day operations of our North Fremantle site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing daily dispatch, generating pallet exchange documents, and ensuring accurate data entry in the pallet control system.
- Planning and storing stock efficiently, managing product container traffic, and participating in daily cycle counts.
- Labelling stock accurately to ensure correct product information is linked to pallet contents.
- Conducting daily micro sampling and brix analysis (measuring sugar concentration) and monitoring reverse osmosis readings to support liquid sugar production.
- Identifying and repairing damaged pallets, maintaining hygiene standards, and participating in annual HACCP training.
- Engaging directly with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth dispatch and respond to changing customer requirements with professionalism and care.
- Actively contributing to site improvement programs and business safety initiatives.
What we're wanting you to bring to the table:
This role is perfect for someone with strong organisational and customer service skills, who takes initiative and a proactive approach to tasks. You'll also have:
- A current Forklift Licence with at least 2 years experience operating a forklift.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a warehouse or depot environment, ideally within a food grade or hygiene controlled setting.
- Previous experience in Food/Beverage Manufacturing or Packing.
- Exposure to GMP and HACCP requirements, with an understanding of hygiene and quality standards.
- Familiarity with track and trace scanning systems and Inventory Management Systems.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- A proactive approach to process control, with a willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience with equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage internal and external customer interactions professionally and responsively.
