A leading ACT Government agency is seeking 5 x Senior Client Engagement Officers (ASO5 equivalent) to support public housing services in the Canberra region. This role involves field-based and office-based engagement with tenants, managing tenancy compliance, and ensuring sustainable housing outcomes for vulnerable community members.

Senior Client Engagement Officer – Government

Pay Rate: $62.62/hour + Super

Office role - Belconnen ACT

Full time: M-F 5 days - 36hrs/wk

Immediate Start Pending Police Check

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of public housing tenancies in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Conduct property inspections and field visits to support tenancy compliance and wellbeing
  • Respond to tenant concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborate with community services and government agencies to provide wraparound support
  • Prepare accurate case notes, reports, and operational documentation
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and innovation in tenancy management

About You You are a resilient, organised professional with:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A background in community engagement, social work, housing, or related areas
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet KPIs
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and respectful engagement

Desirable Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, Leadership, or related fields (not essential)
