About the role

Turning Point is a lead alcohol and other drug agency with a large clinical team across several sites. The Hamilton Centre is a Victoria wide initiative to build capacity in the management of co-occurring disorders coordinated by Turning Point. This role will involve working with the Hamilton Centre team as well as providing support to an innovative MHW "Local" based in the Eastern suburbs, with a large lived experience staff in public facing roles. The position will be accredited for addiction psychiatry training with supervision from our addiction psychiatrists and based in an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team.

About you

The position would suit an applicant with:

  • RANZCP traineeship Stage 3
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a team
  • An interest in learning more about management of co-occurring disorders
  • An appetite for new and innovative peer-based approaches to care

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
