About the Role

As a Casual Night Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at a high-profile waterfront precinct in Pyrmont, NSW. You will be responsible for safeguarding tenants, visitors, and property by conducting regular patrols, monitoring security systems, and responding swiftly to incidents.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety and security of the site
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to suspicious or unusual activity
  • Operate intercom systems and manage access control procedures
  • Respond to incidents promptly and professionally
  • Complete detailed incident reports and escalate issues where required

Employment Type: Casual

Roster/Hours: Friday & Saturday, 7PM–7AM (with additional ad hoc shifts available)

Location: Pyrmont, NSW 2009

Requirements, Skills & Experience

For this role, you will need:

  • Current NSW Security Licence - 1A (Required)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (Required)
  • Police Check (If obtained in the last 3-4 months this is sufficient) (Required)
  • Previous experience in security, patrol, or control room operations preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report-writing skills
  • To be physically fit and able to perform the duties required
