Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Gate Automation NSW Full time $70,000 - $120,000 per year

This is a long-term secure position in a highly skilled and motivated team for the right candidate. This role would suit someone who is looking for a more diversified role in the workforce, no day is the same and no place is the same You will get full training on the products and after a successful probation period, a fully maintained vehicle, phone and uniform will be provided.

Duties of the Automatic Gate Technician include but not limited to:

  • Carry out various installations and commissioning of gate automation and boom gates, including some intercom and access control systems.
  • Attending service visits, pre-planned maintenance, and emergency call-outs to gates and boom gates.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of gates, boom gates and associated accessories.
  • Reporting to the service manager and liaising with customers.
  • Submitting recommendations to allow the office to generate quotations.
  • Liaising with the office to relay up to date important information on field activities.
  • Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Experience required:

  • Install, service and repair of automatic gates and boom gates.
  • Similar discipline such as automatic doors/roller shutters is an advantage.
  • Australian local experience in the construction industry.
  • Arc welding or electrical experience is an advantage (connect/disconnect)

Essential skills:

  • Solid technical background, with understanding and hands-on experience in the automatic entrance system industry.
  • A can-do attitude, flexible and positive approach is expected to help us meet and exceed our customer's needs.
  • Strong organization and time management skills – this role will require working to customer deadlines.
  • Flexibility within the weekly workload and the ability to work overtime when required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and administration skills.
  • Physically fit and enjoy working outdoors.

Qualified candidate must have:

  • Valid full Australian driver's license
  • General construction induction card (White Card)
  • The right to work in Australia on a full time basis
  • Must Pass Police Check
  • Must Pass Working with Children Check
  • Two references
