Who are we looking for?
Our NSW Environmental Approvals team is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for major projects across the state, including in renewable energy, transport, water and other various environmental projects.

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist join us and support the delivery of Environmental Approvals in Future Energy projects, with a focus on windfarm approvals.

You will deliver innovative solutions for our clients and make a valued contribution to our skilled and motivated team.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Providing technical expertise, client management, and project delivery for complex environmental impact assessment and approvals for offshore and onshore wind farm projects across NSW.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams by designing and co-ordinating studies and environmental assessments
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with our clients, regulatory agencies and key stakeholders to encourage collaborative engagement to support successful outcomes
  • Business planning and strategic decision-making, while seeking out new project opportunities, preparing proposals and converting leads into new business.
  • Preparing technical reports, and growing our team's technical capability through mentoring and technical reviews

What You Will Bring To The Team

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental related studies (such as Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering or Urban Planning)
  • Between years of professional experience delivering offshore & onshore windfarm approvals projects, from within the energy industry or a consulting environment.
  • Expertise in setting strategy, design, co-ordination and management of environmental impact assessment studies and regulatory approvals applications
  • Knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policy
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects, business development, networking and client relationship management
